Antique large "West Germany Original Gerzit Gerz" stoneware pot holder.
Made in West Germany during the Cold War in the 60s.
It features fox-shaped handles and different, highly detailed decorations of 2 animal scenes in relief on each side of the pot.
In short, on the theme of hunting, and more specifically wild boar and stag hunting with a stake in the Middle Ages in Bavaria.
It's in very good condition, except for two tiny chips on 2 of the foxes' ears (see photo).
Beautiful patina of kitsch brown, rust and ochre colors due to the clay used.
A must for collectors and hunters alike, ideal for decorating a room or area dedicated to hunting, with a pretty plant inside.
