The Varier Date (originally Stokke) is an ergonomic design chair designed by Olav Eldøy in 2003, known for its active, "effortless" seating comfort. The chair features an integrated tilt mechanism and a flexible backrest, ideal for long periods of dining or working. The minimalist design is available in black-dark grey upholstery and chrome/metal. See photos.
Features of the Varier Date chair:
• Design: Designed in 2003 by the Norwegian Olav Eldøy for the Stokke brand (now Varier).
• Ergonomics: The "Date" is an "active chair" that stimulates movement, which benefits blood circulation and concentration.
• Function: Features a subtle, hidden tilt mechanism, allowing the chair to move slightly back and forth.
• Design: Slim backrest that invites variation in seating posture (also sideways or backwards).
• Maintenance/Details: Equipped with a zipper at the back, making the cover removable.
• Dimensions: Typical dimensions are approximately 95-96 cm high, 42 cm wide, and 56 cm deep.
• Application: Suitable for dining rooms, office, and meeting rooms.
The chair is recognizable by its sleek, flowing lines and is often executed in chrome with high-quality fabric or leather upholstery.
