Refurbisher:
Designed by Peter Opstvik in 1983 for the Stokke brand with the motto, "It's not a chair, it's a way of life."
The Gravity has four positions and in all of them you are so close to the balance point that the slightest shift of the body will cause the chair to take you from one sitting angle to another.
In short, a wonderful chair to actively sit in or lie back in or even rock in.
This one, purchased new by the current owner in 1990, has original black leather upholstery and a black wooden frame, but both have obvious signs of use (see below).
the upholstery of two armrests and one shin rest have recently been renewed, the other shin rest has been visibly repaired and repainted. The seat, backrest and headrest still have the original 1990 leather upholstery and are discolored to various shades of gray. The paint on the wooden frame is damaged on the right side and should be repainted. In short a refurbisher, but at first a fantastic classic chair.
