Exceptional cordless table lamp upcycled from a vintage ceramic vase from the 60s/70s and combined with a handmade lampshade made from a high-quality reprint of a Liberty-London fabric design.
The manufacturer of the vase is unknown. All the more it convinces with its special shape and the restrained glaze. The slightly conical, softly modeled ceramic body with a set-off base is kept in a light cream white. The reduced color scheme forms an exciting contrast to the opulent, color-intensive pattern of the lampshade and allows its extraordinary color world to come into its own.
The fabric motif was originally designed by Liberty London as a scarf design. The stylized cloudy landscape typical of the late 60s was initially a fashion design. With its expressive color world and graphic design language, the design reflects the zeitgeist of the late 1960s – an era characterized by Pop Art, psychedelic design, and a new desire for strong colors and patterns.
Especially with this lamp, the play with contrasts works particularly well: The calm, almost minimalist vintage ceramic gives the historical Liberty print the stage. When switched on, the handmade lampshade itself becomes a luminous object and beautifully highlights the many colors and fine details.
Cordless light for almost any place
The lamp is completely cordless as a battery lamp and does not require a power outlet during operation. With its compact height of only 35 cm, it can be flexibly placed wherever light or a special design accent is needed – on a sideboard, in a bookshelf, on a windowsill, a bedside table, or as a small light on the dining table.
The rechargeable LED light source is charged via USB-C and can be regulated in light color and brightness via remote control. This allows the lighting mood to be adjusted depending on the room and situation. One battery charge enables a lighting duration of up to 12 hours.
