This is a set of eight wall lights by the Italian manufacturer Stilnovo, executed in the iconic 'Diabolo' design. The design is a characteristic example of post-war Italian lighting art, known for its playful yet elegant hourglass shape.
The lamps are made of lacquered metal, with both white and black variants in the set. A central brass band connects the two conical shades, adding a refined accent. The perforations in the shades create a subtle play of light on the wall, in addition to direct up- and downlighting. This design is a classic within the Mid-Century Modern style.
The overall condition of the lamps is good, retaining their original finish and structure. The brass components show a slight, authentic patina that matches the age and character of the fixtures. The set consists of a mix of black and white pieces, as shown in the images. 4 white and 4 black.
These 'Diabolo' wall lights are versatile and fit perfectly into various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern to contemporary.
