Product description
Rare and very beautiful religious statuette in polychrome wood and stucco, very finely hand-painted, from the 1920s-1930s, representing Our Lady of Mount Carmel carrying the Infant Jesus, Catalan manufacture, produced by the Olot workshops, illegible but very recognizable stamp on the back, period and attribution consistent with the aesthetic, the stucco molding technique, very expressive glass/sulfur eyes.
Good size, 33cm high, 13-14cm wide, 10cm max depth. Very good general condition, no visible defects, selective paint touch-ups, and a homemade restoration of the left hand holding the cord, namely: 2 fingers recreated before being put back in place on the wrist and then repainted, clean and very discreet work, the rest is in superb condition, we note some rare and very discreet defects due to its age such as yellowing of the shades on the untouched parts, missing halos and glory behind the heads, filled holes, as well as a small repair on the back of the crown, very discreet. Fine, very decorative piece. Approximately 500 g.
