Beautiful Chinese hand-carved statue of Mo Li Hong, one of the Four Heavenly Kings from Chinese mythology. This imposing protective figure is traditionally depicted with an umbrella, a symbol of protection and control over the elements.
The statue is crafted from bone (bone carving) and richly detailed with fine engraving and subtle color accents. The combination of craftsmanship and symbolism makes this piece particularly decorative as well as interesting for collectors of Asian art.
