Product description
Splendid and very dramatic art sculpture in a classical style,
representing the mythological scene of Hercules
overpowering King Diomedes (the eighth of his twelve labors),
made during the 1970s / 1980s after the original work
by Vincenzo de' Rossi preserved in the Palazzo Vecchio.
This decorative collector's piece is structured around a
heavy composite art resin molding, giving the material
its characteristic density and polish. The composition with
strong dramatic tension features the powerfully sculpted bodies
of the two athletes in full anatomical struggle.
A beautiful decorative object with a strong geometric presence, ideal for
joining a cabinet of curiosities or a retro library.
