Product description
Splendid and very graceful religious statue
from the Mid-Century era depicting the Virgin Mary (Our
Lady of Grace), made by the famous Italian manufacturer
Capodimonte during the 1960s.
This piece of sacred art in Naples porcelain is
distinguished by its classic drapery and the delicacy of
its underglaze painting. It depicts the Blessed
Virgin crushing the serpent of original sin with her foot, her
open hands spreading her graces. The authenticity
is signed by its original gold leaf embossed oval label,
a prestigious signature of the factory.
The figure combines an azure pastel blue cloak
outlined in fine gold with a pure white dress.
The base features its numbered molding mark "559"
as well as its vintage provenance mark "Italy"
painted under the enamel. A magnificent devotional or
display object with timeless charm.
