A stately armchair, made of dark wood and upholstered in cognac-colored leather. This piece comes from the former ABN headquarters in Breda, which gives it a special origin and a story. The design shows clear characteristics of the Baroque style, with a robust and solid wooden frame. The legs and uprights are executed in a twisted 'barley twist' shape, a characteristic detail from that period. The armrests are refined with hand-carved acanthus leaf motifs. The armchair has a total depth of 70 cm, with a seat width of 55 cm and a seat depth of 50 cm. The overall condition is good and in accordance with the age and use of the furniture. The leather has developed a lived-in patina, with natural variations in color and texture that contribute to its character. The wooden construction is sturdy and has retained a deep, warm tone.
