Placed on a desk or coffee table, this pressed crystal ashtray captures the light with remarkable brilliance. Its square shape with cut corners, four cigarette rests at the angles, and thick base give it a solid yet elegant presence. The decoration is entirely crafted with a rich, molded pattern. A smooth central diamond is framed by broad fields of checkerboard diamond points, while the sides are enlivened with raised diamonds and faceted bevels. Under the light, the crystal plays with and multiplies reflections with an intensity reminiscent of grand tableware from European manufacturers. Unidentified manufacturer, style similar to Czech, Belgian, or French productions from the 1950s to 1970s. Approximately 15 cm per side. In excellent condition, with no chips or scratches. An object that naturally finds its place on a distinguished desk, a console table, or in a collector's display cabinet.
