Spectrum New Amsterdam armchair. The Spectrum New Amsterdam armchair was originally designed for the Holland America Line steamship "New Amsterdam." This ship made its maiden voyage to New York on May 10, 1938, and the armchair was part of the interior of a first-class cabin. The armchair exudes simplicity with character: the lines are clean and pure, the seat generous, yet intact in its understated luxury. The armchair is 76 cm high, 70 cm wide, 94 cm deep, and has a seat height of 38 cm. New Amsterdam - Gerrit Rietveld armchair entirely in Alma fabric, dark blue armrests, solid American walnut.
