A design icon and eye-opener: the BR 02 sofa bed by Martin Visser. Designed in 1960 and never out of production. Its clear construction and timeless design language make this design a timeless piece! With a simple action, the sofa can be converted into a single sofa bed, ideal for creating an extra sleeping space.
The BR 02 sofa bed exudes sustainability: now that recycling is becoming an increasingly important theme in the (design) world, Martin Visser has proven to be a true pioneer. Thanks to its removable elements, the sofa bed can easily be reupholstered. With reupholstery, and possibly replacement of the interior and springs, a BR 02 will last for years to come, and both its appearance and seating comfort will be as good as new!
The sofa is 15-20 years old but has hardly been used. Little wear and tear. Signs of wear are visible, see photo.
