Product description
A substantial and primitive wrought iron fireplace screen from the 1880s, a notable example of Spanish or South European blacksmith work. The piece integrates a five-cup candelabra function, with cups suitable for large pillar candles or small decorative planters/pots. The screen features robust, hand-forged construction with detailed scrollwork and volutes, characteristic of late 19th-century artisanal design. The main frame includes twisted iron bars and stands securely on two wide, curved base feet. The entire structure retains its original, deeply oxidized dark patina, testifying to its age and authentic, non-industrial manufacture. This is a sculptural statement piece, ideal as a decorative accent, floor candelabra, or unique room divider.
