Product description
This Spanish chair, manufactured in Castile at the beginning of the 19th century, is a striking example of traditional European craftsmanship. The design is characterized by a robust construction and an authentic appearance that reflects the historical context of the furniture. The chair is crafted from solid wood, ensuring a sturdy and durable base. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a textile finished with decorative nails, a technique typical of the period and region. The woodwork displays refined carving, particularly in the cross joints, contributing to the artisanal character of the piece. The warm brown tones of the wood and upholstery create a harmonious whole. The chair is in a condition consistent with its age and use, retaining its original character and patina. The straps and seat padding are largely damaged and require replacement. The construction is functional, and the materials display the natural aging expected of an antique piece of furniture. This piece of furniture is perfectly suited to a classic or rustic interior. It can serve as a striking accent in a hallway, study, or living space, where it adds a touch of historical elegance.
