This Ceiling light by VEB NARVA Leuchtenbau Lengefeld is an authentic piece of German mid-century design. The light embodies the aesthetic of the Space Age era with its distinctive geometric shape and material combination.
The construction consists of a shade made of transparent glass, decorated with a fine, linear pattern reminiscent of spun glass. This shade is held by a brass-colored metal structure, which gives the light a warm, golden glow. The light comes from production in the former GDR and is an example of lighting design from the 1960s and 1970s.
The overall condition of the light is very good and reflects its age and history. The original components, including the suspension chain and canopy, have been preserved and show a slight patina, which contributes to the vintage character of the piece.
This pendant light is ideal as a central lighting element above a dining or coffee table. Its design blends seamlessly into mid-century, vintage, or eclectic style interiors and provides atmospheric, diffused light.
