Lamps from the Space Age era all express the futuristic aesthetic of that period, often emulated through the use of shiny chrome-plated metal and sinuous as well as elaborate mechanical forms. Most of these lamps have a strong industrial look, which makes them very attractive and contemporary to this day.
The current lamp is the perfect summary of these elements, and also a beautiful expression of the Italian craftsmanship of those years. Expertly crafted in chrome plated metal, with elaborate shades providing an interesting and unusual take on the simple theme of the lamp holder, this lamp is original in design and very well executed.
It has been kept in wonderful conditions, with the chrome coating still shiny and in full working order. It has been overhauled by a professional electrician who has inspected the plug, switch and wiring. Three E27 bulbs are needed; it can take up large spherical bulbs, but also looks fast with smaller, regular ones.
