This Space Age pendant lamp features a striking silhouette defined by its expansive Murano glass shade. The design captures the essence of 1960s lighting. Inspired by the first moon landing many products especially lighting were designed with a space theme. This is a great example of this reflecting the rings ofthem planet Saturn.
The fixture is crafted from white Murano glass, characterised by its swirling, semi-translucent pattern that diffuses light softly across a room. The glass shade is suspended by a brass-finished metal gallery and a simple hook mechanism, allowing it to hang elegantly from the ceiling. The combination of the white and grey glass enhances the swirl pattern and really comes to light when lit.
The lamp remains in good vintage condition, retaining its original character and structural integrity. The brass elements show a natural patina consistent with age, adding to the piece's authentic history.
This pendant lamp is well-suited for placement above a dining table or as a central focal point in a living area. Its broad profile and soft illumination complement both mid-century modern and contemporary interiors. It takes aE27 large screw in light bulb. I've used a large globe light bulb to enhance the design and included one in the box. The length of the cable is 77cm ( adjustable)
