Product description
This is a distinctive coffee table from the Space Age era, defined by its sculptural base and smoked glass top. The piece exemplifies the period's fascination with bold geometric forms and new material combinations, creating a strong visual statement.
The table features a circular top made of tinted smoked glass, which rests on a dynamic, multi-layered base. The base is constructed from wood or a similar composite, finished in a deep black lacquer that contrasts with the transparency of the glass. This composition is characteristic of European design from the 1970s, emphasizing clean lines and a minimalist yet expressive silhouette.
This vintage piece remains in a good, solid condition, showing character consistent with its age and history. The original finish on both the base and the glass top has been preserved, reflecting a history of careful use over the decades.
With its generous round surface, this coffee table is an ideal centerpiece for a living room or lounge area. It pairs well with both vintage and contemporary seating and complements interior styles ranging from Mid-Century Modern to minimalist and eclectic.
