Soul Shelter — Original Artwork by V. Ninua
Soul Shelter is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork created by V. Ninua in 2025, using the artist’s self-developed mixed-media textile technique.
The work combines painting with hand-applied textile materials, including jute cord, wool and cotton. The materials are individually shaped, braided, layered and carefully attached to the surface, creating a rich, tactile relief and an almost sculptural quality. The technique is highly detailed and time-consuming, with each layer contributing to the depth, structure and atmosphere of the work.
Concept
In the heart of a restless city, home becomes a quiet sanctuary. Outside, the city continues its endless rhythm; inside, a simple table, flowers and warm evening light create a moment of stillness.
Soul Shelter explores the idea that home is more than walls and windows. It is a feeling of safety and belonging—a place where, despite the noise and movement of the outside world, we can return to ourselves.
