beautiful solid oak chest of drawers by Marian Grabinski from the MTP series for IKEA Sweden, 1960s.The cabinet was initially designed as a wedding gift for Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of IKEA. Kamprad liked the cabinet so much that by 1963 it was available in all IKEA stores as the MTP series. Recall that it wasn't until 1963 before the first IKEA store outside Sweden was opened. It was Norway that received the honor. 65 cm high, 57 cm wide and 40 cm deep. note that good IKEA furniture from the early 1960s is rare, which is why this item is a collector's item!
