Absolutely fabulous small blue glazed ceramic plate or dish with a gorgeous intricate spiral pattern, hand crafted by Maria Philippi for Søholm, Denmark. In stunning vintage condition; no chips or cracks, and showing only very few signs of usage.
Stamped Søholm, Bornholm, Denmark, Stentøj. Signed MP, which is the signature of Maria Philippi, who was employed at Søholm from 1962-1970. Production no. 3184-1.
A stunning hand made piece of mid century studio pottery, carefully and cleverly designed by the phenomenal artist that German ceramicist Maria Philippi is.
This little bowl can be used as a catch-all, a jewelery tray, snack platter, a small serving bowl, ash tray, practical candle holder or just a super decorative piece of collectible ceramics.
Danish Design from the only rocky island in Denmark, Bornholm. Bornholm had in many years a large selection of ceramics factories and potteries. One of the most famous ceramic factories was Søholm.
