Product description
Soft lamp by Droog in original packaging. Good vintage condition with light but not distracting discoloration consistent with age and use. No damage from heat from the bulb. Cord can be easily replaced. Fitting E14.
The Softlamp became the first interior product made using the technique of dipping a heated mold into liquid plastic. The glossy exterior gives the lamp a ceramic-like quality, while the soft, smooth texture adds to its appeal. The fluid shape of the lamp reflects the creation process, with the electrical cord flowing seamlessly into the fitting and blending beautifully into the lampshade. Brekveld's striking design piece combines elegant form with practical functionality.
Softlamp is included in the design collections of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Centraal Museum, MoMA and SFMoMA.
