terrazza sofa "ds-1025" by ubald klug for the Swiss firm de sede. Produced in 1973, this was ubald klug's debut as an interior architect and designer. He proposed this project to the firm, which accepted on one condition: that it be in leather. For this model, the designer drew his inspiration directly from the mountainous reliefs of the Alps, shaped by the passage of cows in these regions, forming long plateaus following one another on different levels. In its early days, this piece was critically panned, but its atypical design earned it a place among design icons. It is still in production today. Its structure consists of an assembly of 7 foam-filled cushions of varying width and depth, upholstered in brown leather and mounted on a plywood frame with a rectangular base. Leather and structure are original. In very good condition, with patina consistent with age and use.
Leather cracked in places and a few scratches. These defects are due to the age of the piece. Nevertheless, it remains in very good condition.
