Product description
Magnificent designer sofa with welcoming ergonomics. The designer's objective is simple: to achieve design without excess. Attention to detail, one of SABA's priorities, is evident in the backrest upholstery, the density of the grosgrain cord stitching and the lacquered, patinated Corten base. This sophisticated sofa has stood the test of time without ever losing its timelessness. It perfectly combines Italian elegance with Scandinavian flair.
Its catalog color reference is Kos col. 01 cat EXTRA. A cream color with little dirt.
This little-used sofa was in a luxury Parisian apartment. It is in good condition. The sofa is removable for regular machine care.
Its structure is in wood padded with polyurethane foam covered with fine velvet coupled with 200gr/m² resin. Its legs, 17 cm high, are in matt corten-finish metal. Seat cushions are padded with polyurethane foam covered with polyester fiber 350gr/sqm. The back cushions are made of polyester fiber blended with washed and sterilized goose feather, divided into sections and covered with a 100% white cotton anti-feather fabric. The cylinders of the high-back cushions are filled with 30P polyurethane foam and covered with fine velvet coupled with 100gr/m² resin.
A little background: furniture designer Sergio Bicego, born in Italy in 1953, found his calling in upholstery. He then developed a passion for form and style, and became a designer. In 1991, he set up his own design studio. In 1993, he met the owner of SABA, who decided to produce a range of sofas. The essential 154 sofa is one of the highlights of the collection. Bicego continues to collaborate with leading names in Italian design.
Sergio Bicego produces works that fuse luxury and comfort. Sumptuously upholstered and sumptuously padded, each piece is an invitation to combine function and beauty.
