About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
The dining armchair pairs dramatic, blackened wood with a comfortably padded, leather-upholstered seat over fire-retardant foam. In production, MOOOI burns real furniture and then preserves the charred wood in a lear coat of epoxy-resin. Familiar classical forms meet the seductive allure of the burnt, creating the strange sensation of sitting on charred furniture. A chair like a story poised between destruction and beauty.
Material: Burnt wood sealed in epoxy resin, fire-retardant foam, leather upholstery.
Dimensions: W 60 cm × D 62 cm × H 106 cm; seat height 47 cm; armrest height 70 cm.
Color: Black (burnt wood, leather upholstery)
Design: Maarten Baas for Moooi. Each piece is unique due to the burning process.
