Colorful minimalist West Germany vase by Bay Keramik, 1950s, numbered 270-17 at bottom. Rare design, this mid-century modern vase has a speckled texture and colorful horizontal lines. West Germany was actually a collective name for ceramics that came on the market roughly between 1950 and 1990. Some famous names include Roth, Carstens, Ruscha, Jopeko, Jasba, Fohr, but perhaps the biggest were Scheurich and Bay.
