This set of six Panton chairs was designed by Verner Panton and produced by Fehlbaum (Herman Miller) in 1975. The Panton chair is celebrated as a milestone in twentieth-century design, recognised for its fluid, sculptural silhouette and innovative single-material construction. Crafted from moulded plastic, these chairs are finished in a high-gloss black colourway. The cantilevered form allows for a slight flex, providing ergonomic support while maintaining a striking visual presence. The underside of the chairs bears the original Fehlbaum and Herman Miller production marks, confirming their 1975 provenance. The chairs are designed to be stackable, offering practical storage solutions without compromising their aesthetic integrity. The set remains in a very good condition, retaining its structural soundness and original glossy finish. The character of the chairs reflects their age and history of use, with a patina that is consistent with authentic vintage pieces from this era.
