Painting description:
An atmospheric figurative painting of a seated female nude, executed in warm earth tones and featuring a loose, expressive brushstroke. The composition exudes tranquility and introspection, with the model depicted in a relaxed pose against a dark, subdued background. The color accent of the object in the background gives the work extra depth and balance.
This artwork is a fine example of classical figurative painting with a modern, impressionistic touch. Suitable as an eye-catcher in a living room, gallery, or office space. The frame is decorated with silver paint flecks, to which the painter paid special attention.

He obtained his diploma in Fine Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent in 1980. Since then, he has lived in Amsterdam, where he has been teaching at the Wackers Academy since 1990 and has been a member of the Dutch Portrait Society since its inception. He was selected in 1995 by the DVD, along with four other painters, to create the official portrait of Beatrix.
In 2017, Frank Leenhouts received the first Dutch Portrait Prize for his portrait of Govert van der P.!!
I am selling this painting because I replaced the walls in my apartment with glass walls and there really was no longer any room for this beautiful painting.
