Product description
The Singer 99K sewing machine is an iconic piece of industrial heritage, manufactured by the renowned The Singer Manufacturing Company. This specific model, characterized by its robust cast iron construction and elegant golden decals, represents an era when craftsmanship and durability were central to the household. The object is made of heavy black metal and cast iron, resting on a sturdy wooden base. The machine is richly decorated with classic golden Singer ornaments and features silver-colored chrome and steel accents on the handwheel and needle mechanism. It comes complete with its original wooden carrying case, featuring a textured covering and metal clasps, as well as the original Dutch manual. The sewing machine is in good, authentic condition, appropriate for its age and historical use. The black lacquer has developed a beautiful patina, while the mechanical parts have largely retained their original luster. The wooden base and case show characteristic signs of a long and useful life, contributing to the overall historical charm. This classic instrument now functions excellently as a striking decorative object within various interiors. It comes into its own particularly well on a dresser or in a display cabinet within an industrially, vintage, or eclectically furnished space, where it adds a touch of nostalgia and artisanal history.
