About the artists:
Simon Solinski (1940)/Aveline Bruno (1959)
The French duo Simon and Bruno lead an irregular and interesting life as professional artists. After a period of traveling back and forth with, among other things, puppets between Paris and Strasbourg, the development of art became their main goal. The starting point is expressiveness.
Outside Europe, the United States and Japan also became areas of activity. Both artists developed logos for hotels, but also sculptures and jewelry for charitable purposes.
Unbridled use of colours, images or geometric situations is recorded under their motto “simple but effective”. The down-to-earth but emotionally connected duo clearly conveys a message.
If the public discovers a synthetic symbolism in their oeuvre, these attributes refer to man, with his sexual urge, his materialistic attitude and all the grotesque proportions in every human existence.
