Annemarie de Groot (Assen, 1952) graduated from the Minerva Art Academy in Groningen in 1978. A few years later, she attended the Oskar Kokoschka Academy in Salzburg. Initially, de Groot created oil paintings, but from the mid-1980s onwards, she primarily worked with acrylic and gouache. De Groot's paintings are characterized by their colorful, expressive, and loose brushstrokes. Since her youth, she has been fascinated by the world of circus, theater, opera, and cabaret. These themes are therefore frequently found in her work. The silkscreen print is in perfect condition and is hand-signed by the artist. W62
