Annemarie de Groot (Assen, 1952) graduated in 1978 from the art academy Minerva in Groningen. A few years later she attended the Oskar Kokoschka Academy in Salzburg. De Groot initially made oil paintings, but since the mid-1980s she has mainly worked with acrylic and gouache. De Groot's paintings are characterized by being colourful, expressive and made with a loose touch.
Since her childhood she has been fascinated by the world of circus, theatre, opera and cabaret. You will therefore regularly find these themes in her work.
The screen print is in perfect condition and is hand signed by the artist.
