Private sellerProduct description
This ceramic salad bowl is an authentic piece from Vallauris production, dating from the 1960s. Signed by the artist Tess, it embodies the vibrant and artisanal style that made this pottery center in the south of France famous. The distinctive design and hand-painted decoration make it a characteristic example of mid-century French ceramics.
Made of ceramic, this salad bowl is stamped "Décor Main" (Hand Decor), guaranteeing its artisanal nature. The exterior features a cream-colored base, adorned with bold floral motifs in shades of orange, green, and black. The interior contrasts sharply with a shiny yellow-orange enamel. The piece bears the artist's signature "Tess" as well as a model number "6345" under the base.
The salad bowl is in good overall condition, testifying to its history and age. The enameled finish retains its luster and the colors of the decoration remain vibrant, giving the object a unique character and a period patina. Each visible brushstroke attests to its manual creation.
Ideal as a centerpiece on a dining table or buffet, this salad bowl brings a touch of color and vintage authenticity. It fits perfectly into rustic, bohemian, or eclectic interiors, whether for functional use or as a decorative object.
