An authentic brutalist mosaic coffee table designed by Dutch artist and sculptor Paul Kingma, dating from the 1980s.
This sculptural table features a beautiful geometric composition made from natural stone and slate set in a concrete matrix, enriched with brass inlays, coins and decorative circular metal elements. A distinctive brass strip with the engraved signature “design” and the artist’s signature is integrated into the mosaic surface, confirming the authenticity of the piece.
Kingma is internationally known for his unique stone mosaic tables that combine elements of sculpture and furniture design. Each table was handmade and no two examples are exactly the same.
The warm earth tones of the stone combined with the brass accents create a striking brutalist aesthetic that works well in both modern and vintage interiors.
The table stands on a solid pedestal base and has a strong architectural presence while remaining highly functional as a coffee table.
