The Sculpture Is Approximately 120 Cm High, Over 80 Cm Wide And Weighs About 40 Kg. Due To Its Size, Weight And Very Detailed Execution, It Is A Special Eye-Catcher. Nataraja Literally Means King Of The Dance (Nata = Dance, Raja = King) And Is One Of The Best-Known Manifestations Of Shiva. Shiva Is Depicted Here During His Cosmic Dance, Which Symbolizes The Eternal Movement Of The Universe: Creation, Existence, Destruction And Recommencement. Almost Every Detail Of The Sculpture Has A Meaning. The Large Circle Around Shiva Depicts The Cosmos And The Infinite Cycle Of Existence. The Many Flames Around The Outer Ring Represent The Fire That Destroys The Old, Thereby Making Room For Renewal And Transformation. In His Hand, Shiva Holds The Damaru, The Small Drum.
