Product description
This lounge chair was designed by Danish architect Ib Kofod-Larsen in 1953.
The design features a curved plywood shell forming the backrest and integrated armrests, paired with a matching seat cushion. This edition is constructed with a black lacquered wooden frame and tapered legs. The chair has been reupholstered in Yoredale fabric by Camira.
Beneath the seat, the wood retains its original retail label from Knefkens, a mid-century modern furniture dealership operating in Heerlen and Gulpen, the Netherlands, during the 1950s and 1960s. This label establishes the chair's regional provenance and distribution history.
The chair is in very good condition. The black finish on the frame shows age-appropriate wear. The upholstery is new.
