This coffee table is a work by the Danish designer Severin Hansen for the manufacturer Haslev Møbelsnedkeri. The piece is an excellent example of mid-century Scandinavian design, made from rich and expressive rosewood. Its minimalist silhouette and quality construction define it as a classic of modern furniture. The table features expert construction, highlighting the miter joints at the corners that create a fluid transition between the tabletop and the tapered legs. The square surface exhibits the dark, pronounced grain characteristic of rosewood, a highly prized material of the era.
