Product description
Set of 2 “Folkestorp” stools by IKEA, designed and produced in 1999. Also available for purchase individually.
The stool consists of a single piece of curved form, strongly reminiscent of the molded plywood technique popularized in the 20th century by designers such as Alvar Aalto and Charles & Ray Eames.
The stool is made of laminated, multi-curved plywood with a light-colored veneer – likely birch, a type of wood IKEA frequently used at the time.
The lightweight construction, combined with high stability and stackability, makes the stool particularly versatile – it can be used as a side table, step stool, seat, or bedside table, for example.
The stool is in good vintage condition with some signs of wear consistent with age and use, such as light scratches.
