Original set of vintage storage jars by John Hermansen. These characteristic stoneware pots are handmade in England and date from the 1970s. The pots are immediately recognizable by their two-tone design ("two-tone oatmeal"). The bottom consists of speckled, unglazed beige clay, while the top rim and lid are finished with a glossy, dark brown glaze. Although John Hermansen's pottery company (located in Brailsford and later Belper, Derbyshire) mainly produced for the British market with English texts such as Sugar, Coffee and Salt, he also made specific series for export at the time. 15 x 15 x 15 cm.
