Product description
This set of four dining chairs was designed by Cees Braakman for the renowned Dutch manufacturer Pastoe. The chairs embody the essence of post-war Dutch Design, characterized by an elegant and functional design language that has effortlessly stood the test of time.
Crafted from warm, brown wood, these chairs display a refined construction with organically shaped armrests and a distinctive slatted back. The seat and backrest are designed with an eye for both aesthetics and ergonomics, resulting in a comfortable seating experience. The natural wood grain contributes to the authentic character of the set, which is a clear reflection of the Mid-Century Modern style.
The chairs are in good condition, commensurate with their age and use. Over the years, they have developed a beautiful patina that underscores their historical value and authenticity. The construction remains solid, and the original finish has largely been preserved.
These Pastoe chairs look excellent in a modern or Scandinavian-inspired interior. They form a stylish addition around a wooden dining table and bring a piece of design history into the contemporary dining room.
