About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of two Bourgie table lamps, an iconic design by Ferruccio Laviani for the Italian brand Kartell. The lamps combine a classic baroque aesthetic with innovative industrial material use. The design is instantly recognizable by its graceful, three-part base and pleated lampshade, making it a postmodern classic.
The lamps are entirely made of transparent polycarbonate, a characteristic material for Kartell. The pleated structure of the shade creates a unique play of light and reflections when the lamp is on. Thanks to a special coupling system, the shade can be adjusted to three different heights, ranging from 68, 73 to 78 centimeters, allowing the lamp to adapt to various applications. The lamp is equipped with a dimmer to adjust the light intensity as desired.
This set is in good condition, consistent with age and use. The polycarbonate is clear and the structure is completely intact, so the lamps retain their characteristic appearance. The original wiring and dimmers are functional. The lamps are marked with the manufacturer's name and model, confirming their authenticity.
As a pair, these Bourgie lamps are perfectly suited as symmetrical lighting on a dresser, on either side of a sofa, or as bedside lamps in a spacious bedroom. They add an element of design and sophistication to both modern and more eclectic interiors.
