Product description
Offered is a set of six Dining chairs, designed by Cees Braakman for the Dutch manufacturer Pastoe. This is model ST09, an iconic design from the mid-century period known for its clean lines and functional elegance.
The chairs were manufactured in the 1960s and feature a solid wooden frame with a distinctive ladder backrest and slender, tapered legs. The seats are upholstered with an orange-red woven fabric that forms a warm contrast with the dark wood. The dimensions are 90 cm high, 46 cm wide and 49 cm deep, with a comfortable seat height of 48 cm. This design is a prime example of Dutch Design, where aesthetics and comfort come together.
The set is in good, vintage condition consistent with its age and use. Over the years, the wood has developed a characteristic patina that contributes to the authentic appearance of the chairs. The original upholstery is intact and functional, with a texture that complements the design.
This complete set of six chairs is a significant addition to a dining room or kitchen. The chairs fit seamlessly into various interior styles, from Mid-Century Modern and Scandinavian to more eclectic and contemporary decors.
