About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Frederic Weinberg was an American artist and industrial designer from Philadelphia. After his education at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts, he focused in the 1950s with his own company, Frederic Weinberg Co., on designing and manufacturing various functional and decorative objects.
This characteristic set of chairs combines a black wrought iron frame with a woven wicker seat and backrest. The subtle brass accents on the backrests give the design a refined look and form a beautiful contrast with the dark metal and natural wicker. The combination of materials and the elegant design are characteristic of the timeless design from this period.
The chairs are in good vintage condition, with signs of wear consistent with their age. The metal shows local wear to the black lacquer and light patina. The wicker also has some scratches and discolorations, but is generally well intact and feels sturdy. The chairs have not been restored, preserving their original character and authentic appearance.
