Product description
Special complete set of 4 vintage Dining chairs from the early 1960s, with a beautiful Scandinavian Mid-Century look.
The chairs have a characteristic curved wooden backrest with four black lacquered spindles, slender tapered legs, and a beautifully shaped wooden/plywood seat. The combination of natural wood and black gives the set a strong 1960s character.
Underneath the chairs, there is an old marking with “11 62”, presumably a production or dating code from 1962. A small factory/inspection mark is also visible. I have not been able to determine the exact manufacturer or designer with certainty, and therefore I deliberately do not attribute the set to a specific designer.
The chairs are original and have not been re-sanded or re-lacquered. They show signs of wear and patina consistent with their age.
Important: one of the four chairs shows traces of woodworm and should be treated as a precaution. See the detailed photos. The other three do not show this, as far as visible.
A very nice original set for lovers of Mid-Century, Scandinavian, and 1960s design.
