About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Beautiful set of 4 original vintage tubular frame dining chairs, model 3011 designed by Toon de Wit for Gebroeders De Wit (Schijndel) [3]. The iconic model 3011 was originally designed in 1950 and produced during the 1950s and 60s. These design classics, with their minimalist tubular frame aesthetic, perfectly align with the well-known designs of Gispen. Model 3011 distinguishes itself by the unique bend and crossing formation of the metal frame under the seat, which provides a comfortable, slightly springy sit. The chairs are executed in a beautiful combination of a glossy chrome-plated tubular frame, black armrests, and striking, warm red corduroy upholstery. Specifications: • Brand/Manufacturer: Gebroeders De Wit (Schijndel) • Model: 3011 • Design year: 1950 (produced in the 50s/60s) • Style: Mid-Century Modern / Industrial • Color: Red and Chrome (with black armrests) • Seat height: 46 cm (ideal height for modern dining tables) • Material: Chromed steel, bakelite and corduroy • Quantity: Set of 4 pieces (sold as a complete set) Condition: The chairs are in a beautiful and sturdy condition with light, normal signs of use consistent with their age. The chrome work shines beautifully and the frames are completely stable. • Detail shot armrests & upholstery: As can be seen in the detail photo, the glossy black armrests are in excellent condition without deep scratches or breaks. The red corduroy fabric is very good, has retained its full color, and shows minimal vintage signs of use. Ready to use! A timeless and iconic design set that immediately adds character and color to your dining area, meeting room, or creative workspace. Collection is possible by arrangement. Transport can optionally be arranged easily and safely via the Whoppah courier service.
