A set of two vintage Swedish table lamps, crafted with an IKEA glass base featuring a striking vintage handmade textile shade. The design is a prime example of the vibrant aesthetic of the seventies, characterized by the combination of transparent material and colorful, patterned textile.
The lamps have a handmade, teardrop-shaped base of clear glass, providing a light and airy foundation. The cylindrical shades are covered with a woven fabric featuring a bold floral pattern in various shades of blue, green, and white. A cream-colored, knotted fringe trim adds an extra decorative and artisanal detail. The Swedish origin of this set is evident in the combination of functionality and decorative expression.
This set is in very good vintage condition, retaining the original colors and material structure. The lamps emit a warm and atmospheric light when switched on, beautifully accentuating the pattern on the shades. The shades have a (removable) diffuser, subtly filtering the light.
