Product description
This is a set of two vintage cigar jars, manufactured for the Dutch brand Willem II. The jars are made of opaline glass, a material known for its opaque and milky quality, here executed in a deep black color. These objects are representative of the promotional items produced by tobacco manufacturers in the mid-20th century. The set consists of two identical jars with different decorations. One jar features a vibrant, organic pattern in green reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style, while the other is adorned with a sleek, geometric labyrinth pattern in orange, leaning towards Art Deco. The bottom of the jars is marked with 'Willem II Sigarenfabrieken Valkenswaard Holland' and 'Origineele Opaline', confirming their authenticity and origin. The jars are sealed with matching black lids. In overall good condition, the jars show a character consistent with their age. The colors of the decorations are still bright, and the luster of the opaline glass is well preserved.
