Product description
An exceptional set of eight authentic George III-era dining chairs (late 18th century), comprising six side chairs and two matching armchairs.
These elegant English chairs feature a finely crafted walnut frame, distinguished by oval backrests, richly carved vertical splats, and delicate rosette motifs. The refined neoclassical design is enhanced by tapered legs, masterfully executed carvings, and perfectly balanced proportions.
The two armchairs feature gracefully curved, sculpted armrests that integrate harmoniously with the six side chairs, creating a sophisticated and cohesive ensemble.
The entire set has undergone a meticulous professional restoration, preserving its original character and historical charm. The seats have been newly reupholstered in an elegant cream-colored velvet, which creates a striking contrast against the rich, deep tone of the wood.
**Condition:** Fully and professionally restored, with new upholstery and padding.
A rare and elegant set of original George III-period chairs—ideal for a prestigious dining room, a traditionally styled interior, or even a contemporary setting, where historic English craftsmanship can engage in a dialogue with modern decor.
An extraordinary example of late 18th-century English neoclassical furniture, combining timeless elegance, masterful craftsmanship, and historical significance.
The armchairs measure: H 97 cm x W 65 cm x D 62 cm; seat height 47 cm.
