This set of two table lamps was produced by the renowned Dutch lighting manufacturer Dijkstra. The design is characterized by the iconic mushroom shape, a silhouette strongly associated with the Space Age era that retains a timeless appeal.
The fixtures feature a monochrome white color scheme, creating a minimalist and sleek appearance. The semi-circular shades rest on a slender, trumpet-shaped base, a construction that ensures a stable foundation and elegant lines. When switched on, the lamps emit a warm, diffuse glow that illuminates the room in an atmospheric way. The original wiring with integrated switches has been preserved.
The set is in functional condition with characteristic signs of use consistent with its age. The original finish is intact, with the patina underscoring the authentic vintage origins of the pieces. Both lamps function properly and retain their structural integrity.
This set of Dijkstra lamps is perfectly suited as a symmetrical accent on a sideboard or as mood lighting on bedside tables. The design integrates effortlessly into both modernist and contemporary interiors, where they serve as subtle yet striking design objects.
In good working condition. The dimensions of both lamps are not exact. The shade diameter is the same, but the height differs by 1-2 cm. One of the lamps also has minor damage at the top. See photos.
