This is a set of two ceramic horses, designed by the Swedish designer Rosa Ljung. The pieces are a characteristic example of her 1970s work, known for its stylized forms and decorative details.
The sculptures are made of ceramic and finished with a deep brown, glossy glaze that accentuates the contours of the horses. A subtle floral relief adorns the flank, a signature detail of Ljung. The designer's original stickers are still intact on both sculptures, confirming their authenticity and provenance. These objects are a product of the Swedish ceramic tradition from the mid-twentieth century.
